Amused Muse
Kristine Harley's blog contains piquant commentary on "Intelligent" Design, religious fundamentalism, and environmental issues. It also contains links to some must-see video, must-hear audio, and must-click websites.
Atheist Nation
This site specializes in items of interest to atheism's next generation, but links to new music, videos and a forum that's constantly buzzing with new messages ensure something for everyone. While you're there, check out the latest on the Rational Response Squad and their Blasphemy Challenge.
Barking Nonsequitor
In the words of its author, "This blog is dedicated to freethought issues but may contain just about anything that may serve as a distraction from any focus on reality." Among other things, Rev. Barking Nonsequitor offers a great example of how to get off the mailing lists of religious organizations and ponders the connection between old bathtubs and religious shrines.
Beingism.org
Rational Means to Emotional Ends, for the Benefit of All
Beingism's Purpose: "Our mission is to establish a coherent vision of ethical behavior and social activism for people disinclined to accept religious and faith-based philosophies of life, and to further it by creating community and developing new and enjoyable ways of changing the world for the better." Features a fascinatingly eclectic message board where you can discuss a wide range of topics.
Tangled Up in Blue Guy
Mike Haubrich's thought-provoking blog discusses topics such as the comparative size of the atheist demographic in America, legal discrimination against nonbelievers, and "uppity atheism," always with an interesting twist. TUIBG also gives visitors the chance to join the conversation by posting their thoughts.
One Colorado Skeptic
David Gleeson's website, containing his blog and his essays, qualifies him as an honorary member of Minnesota Atheists. An eloquent writer on the subject of atheism, he also offers recommendations on books and films. One note: you may have to run your cursor over text to find links that are not immediately apparent.

Friends of Minnesota Atheists
Some of our friends are honorary members, others simply like-minded people who are brilliant thinkers and communicators. They express themselves on the web, in books, articles, interviews, and lectures:
Dan Barker
A former minister and evangelist, Mr. Barker outgrew his religious beliefs and authored the book Losing Faith in Faith. This web page features writing and information that shows why Dan Barker is such an effective public debater.
Andrew D. Benson
Andrew D. Benson is a historian who specializes in the history and the evolution of Christian beliefs. His work is meticulous in its documentation, painstaking and methodical in its presentation. The resulting arsenal of evidence and reason reveals Christianity's all-too-human roots.
Richard Carrier
The author of Sense and Goodness Without God offers articles and websites that eschew the supernatural in favor of Naturalism, the view that nature is all there is.
Richard Dawkins
Oxford Professor, bestselling author, champion of evolution, Richard Dawkins embodies something we hear all too little today: an inspiring voice of reason. This website is The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.
Earl Doherty
This website, by the author of The Jesus Puzzle, is a thorough resource on the assertion that there was no historical Jesus.
Annie Laurie Gaylor
Writings from the author of Woe to the Women: The Bible Tells Me So. Ms. Gaylor is an articulate and authoritative voice on the negative impact of religion on women's rights.
Sam Harris
Most of this website is devoted to promotion of the book The End of Faith, but you will also find interviews with the author and a very popular reader forum. As Mr. Harris sees it, “Our world is fast succumbing to the activities of men and women who would stake the future of our species on beliefs that should not survive an elementary school education."
P.Z. Myers
A biologist and associate professor at the University of Minnesota, Morris, P.Z. Myers' blog, Pharyngula (named for a stage of embryonic development), is not to be missed. As you would expect, exposure of intelligent design as pseudoscience is a centerpiece, but there's also plenty of news and commentary on other topics.
Robert M. Price
Author of Deconstructing Jesus, The Incredible Shrinking Son of Man and quite a few other books and articles, Robert M. Price is a biblical scholar who knows a work of fiction when he sees one. An evangelical's worst nightmare, (Ph.D. in new testament and another in systematic theology), Dr. Price knows all of the arguments for historical accuracy in the bible and can point out all their flaws in great detail.
James Randi
No one debunks supernatural hoaxes better than James Randi, winner of a MacArthur Foundation "genius" award for his work. He is indeed, as the James Randi Educational Foundation Website claims, "the world's most tireless investigator and demystifier of paranormal and pseudoscientific claims." Learn about his Million Dollar Challenge to any individual who cares to prove his or her supernatural powers.
