Join local author Kim Socha at two local author's events in the Twin Cities this month as she reads from her new book Animal Liberation and Athesim, which is now available at Freethoughthouse.com and Amazon.com. Books will also be on sale at both events..
Kim's first author's event will be at May Day Books in Minneapolis (301 Cedar Ave.) on Thursday, November 13 at 7pm. Kim will read from her book and explore with others how the concept of religion is inherently antithetical to animal liberation, and she will challenge secularists to view the world detached from religion’s cultural baggage. Wine, beer, soda, and vegan snacks will be available for noshing during Kim's discussion.
Kim's next event will be at the monthly Minnesota Atheists meeting at the Brookdale Library (6125 Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center) Sunday, November 16th from 2pm to 4pm (Come at 1pm for the Minnesota Atheists business meeting and social time).
Animal Liberation and Atheism is a call for everyone to consider developing a system of ethics disengaged from anthropocentric and speciesist mythologies so that needless violence against all beings and the environment may diminish.
